Wild Garlic (Tulbaghia Violacea)

R20.00

Brush against its slender grey-green leaves, and you’ll release a strong garlic aroma that naturally keeps pests at bay. Wild Garlic, also known as Society Garlic or Wildeknoffel, is a clump-forming, evergreen bulbous plant that forms a neat, upright tuft of semi-succulent, strap-shaped leaves. From spring through to late autumn (and often on and off almost all year in mild climates), it produces umbels of up to twenty starry, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of lilac to pink, held on long stalks above the foliage. Those delicate blooms are sweetly scented, particularly at night, and make excellent, long-lasting cut flowers.
